The “How I Met Your Mother” star gives ET the 411 on Britney Spears’ guest starring role.

Earlier today, ET confirmed that BRITNEY SPEARS was signed to make a guest appearance on CBS’ "How I Met Your Mother." Now, ET’s KEVIN FRAZIER gets the 411 from series star NEIL PATRICK HARRIS on the role the pop princess will play.

"I was shocked that Madame Spears was willing to come and do some acting," Neil tells Kevin. "She hasn’t acted in a while. This is a very interesting role. It is very not like her at all in real life in any of her previous chapters. She plays the secretary to another girl that Ted [JOSH RADNOR] is after. So, it will be very unlike any Britney we have seen before, and we have seen a lot of Britney recently."

Neil also says that the cast and crew of "Mother" are not gearing up for an onslaught by the paparazzi, because they do not film on location, but rather on the FOX lot.

Heartthrob JESSE McCARTNEY is coming out with his third album, Departure this spring, and ET has a sneak peek at the video for his first single, "Leavin.’"

According to reps for his label, Hollywood Records, the album touches on everything from growing pains to interpersonal relationships. "Leavin’" was produced by hitmakers TRICKY and THE-DREAM, the creative forces behind RIHANNA’s "Umbrella."

PATRICK SWAYZE revealed last week that he is suffering from pancreatic cancer.  Now, you can write your own thoughts, prayers and best wishes to the beloved ‘Dirty Dancing’ actor.

The 55-year-old actor’s physician says: ‘Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.’
