Hollywood actress Kate Hudson had a terrifying gun scare outside her house today, according to U.S. reports.
Police rushed to the ‘Almost Famous’ star’s street after a woman dialed 911 saying she thought someone had a rifle, according to news reports.
Onlookers say a helicopter and SWAT team rushed to the area and cleared the whole street of passersby.
At least one of three men seen in the street was then forced to lie on the ground and handcuffed, according to the witnesses. (more…)

Courtney Love has defended allegations that conmen bought a house using her late husband’s name after critics dismissed the claims, saying she was bipolar.
Love - who was married to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain until his suicide in 1994 - launched a police probe last week.
She claims that identity thieves used Cobain’s social security number to buy a $3.2 million mansion in New Jersey last year.
She also alleges that the thieves opened 188 credit cards in her name and embezzled as much as $69 million from the couple and the trust fund of their daughter, 14-year-old Frances Bean. (more…)
Cops probe Heather Locklear “suicide attempt”

Police and paramedics rushed to Heather Locklear’s house on Saturday night, after a 911 call reporting a “suicide attempt”.
A fire department spokesman said they dispatched emergency crews to the actress’ home after receiving a call from a “concerned citizen”.
But when the cops arrived at her mansion in Thousand Oaks, California, she was fine and not in any danger.
“Ms. Locklear said she was fine and there appeared to be no problem,” Ventura County Fire Department Captain Barry Parker said. “Nobody in the house needed medical attention so we left after about 10 minutes.” (more…)
Britney Spears receiving letters and packages from a stalker

Troubled pop princess Britney has been receiving letters and packages from a stalker, it has been claimed.
The Toxic star is said to have been so concerned by the disturbing mail, which reportedly included a letter detailing how to make bombs and another containing “threatening language and weird gibberish”, she has handed all correspondence over to the FBI.
A source close to the singer told E!: “A lot of the things she was receiving were disturbing stalker kind of stuff. So, to be safe, her security team is turning it all over to the police and FBI.” (more…)
Britney’s Dad in Control for Four More Months

Jamie Spears will remain in control of his daughter Britney Spears’s finances and other aspects of the pop star’s life until July 31, a judge ruled Wednesday in an unscheduled hearing.
No reporters were present for the proceeedings, although two sources confirm that Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz extended the temporary conservatorship that had been ordered on Feb. 4, during Spears’s second stint in a psychiatric facility.
“I can confirm that the order was issued this afternoon, but I don’t know the attorneys’ motives,” Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini says.
The temporary conservatorship had been scheduled to expire March 10. Hearings are still scheduled before Goetz on that date and on March 17, sources say.
Jamie Spears has been overseeing his 26-year-old daughter’s well-being and her estimated $100 million fortune since Feb. 1, when Goetz named him and Andrew Wallet temporary co-conservators, giving them the right to employ bodyguards and restrict her visitors.
A source close to Britney says she’s okay with her dad being in control. On Feb. 23, she was allowed to spend time with her sons Preston, 2, and Jayden, 17 months, for the first time since her Jan. 3 standoff with the police, and she has had regular visits since. “She is getting along well with her father and enjoying the closeness and support of her family,” says a source.
