On Sunday, Shia LaBeouf was arrested for drunk driving after being involved in a car accident in Hollywood.

The accident left him in the hospital, recovering from a hand surgery.

His rep said,

He was involved in a collision around 3 a.m. and checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries he sustained to his head, left hand and knee, according to police.

That was when Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Wolf told the Associated Press,

It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest
