Mariah CareyPop diva Mariah Carey has revealed she’s terrified of mothered - but definitely wants to start a family in the future - when she is in a position to fully devote herself to a child.

The ‘One Sweet Day’ singer, said: “Obviously having a kid is a commitment for life.

“I really would have to be very, very positive that I was in a place where I could completely focus and put everything into the job of being someone’s mommy because it’s hard enough to have a puppy.”

The 38-year-old singer - who is currently dating record boss Mark Sudack - also spoke about fellow singer Britney Spears and her current woes, saying she feels for the troubled star - who’s currently in the middle of a bitter custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline - but insists she would never follow the Toxic star’s seemingly destructive path.
