Affair was precipitated by Getty falling off the wagon?
A few more juicy tidbits in the Balthazar Getty - Sienna Miller affair are trickling in. Miller is said to be ‘devastated’ after her married lover has distanced himself from her. The couple had met up in New York after being photographed for all the world to see, frolicking topless in Getty’s arms, at a beach on Italy’s Amalfi Coast two weeks ago.
Allegedly, Sienna has been furiously calling and texting the oil fortune heir after learning he had returned to Los Angeles to attempt a reconciliation with his wife, Rosetta. The UK Daily Mail claims Sienna is planning to go to LA herself to try to win him back in a face-to-face meeting. But Getty is trying to reconcile with his wife and reunite with his four children.
It is claimed in the story that Getty is a former drug addict and alcoholic who was still receiving counseling. And according to friends became infatuated by Sienna after falling off the wagon (ala Ron Woods):
‘He stopped ringing his counselor and stopped going to meetings. Rosetta is convinced that him not being sober is the key to the whole mess with Sienna. She is saying the only way she will take him back is if he agrees to addiction and marriage guidance counseling. He humiliated her but he is still the father of her four children.’
Meanwhile Sienna Miller’s Hollywood reputation has gone from bad to worse. She dated Jude Law while he was still married to Sadie Frost and then perhaps dumped Rhys Ifans for Getty. This new scandal has left Sienna’s reputation in tatters, and has attracted nicknames such as ‘Slutty Miller’, ‘Sluttyenna’ and ‘Serial Miller’ because of her numerous high-profile affairs.
